Treatment of hydrocarbon and grease effluents

Oil and grease separator

Oil separators are compulsory for treating water from car parks, service stations, mechanical workshops, car parks, car washes, car breakwaters, industrial estates and small-scale businesses.

  • Our wastewater management solutions for hydrocarbons and edible fats comply with the strictest standards (AFNOR standards) and are designed to minimise environmental impact. Avoid the fines and penalties associated with pollution and reduce the risk of sewer system blockages, thereby minimising maintenance and unblocking costs.
  • How it works: the hydrocarbon separator is used to recover grease and oil from your machinery. The effluent passes through a coalescer filter and is discharged “clean” into the sewer system. The residues are stored and reprocessed by a service provider, thereby preventing soil and watercourse pollution.

Range of products: Oceania Environment offers various products:

  • to be buried or not (provide a lifting pump and contact us for the invert to be provided for a good foundation or frame),
  • depending on the material required (recyclable polyethylene, polyester, steel),
  • the flow rate to be treated (from 1.5 l/sec to 200 l/sec),
  • shape (vertical, spherical), and accessories (alarm, storm overflow, etc.).

Made of recyclable polyethylene:

  • Flow rates below 10 l/sec: oil separator with sludge separator, coalescing filter 1.5 to 10 l/sec
  • Flow rates of 10 l/sec: hydrocarbon separator with sludge separator, coalescing filter and cylindrical bypass 10 l/sec and hydrocarbon separator – buried tank 10 l/sec
  • Flow rates from 1.5 to 20l/sec: hydrocarbon separator with sludge separator and coalescer filter and hydrocarbon separator with bypass storm overflow upstream of the sludge separator, coalescer filter and automatic shut-off valve: 15l/sec
  • Flow rates of 25 or 30l/sec: stormwater range hydrocarbon separator-25 to 30l/sec

Polyester made by filament winding with “speed” frame: Flow rates of 70 or 100l/sec: Oil separator with bypass, storm overflow upstream of the sludge separator, coalescing filter and automatic shut-off valve.

Steel: Flow rates from 50 to 200 l/sec: cylindrical separator with sludge separator, coalescing filter and by-pass.

Alarm: When it comes to maintenance, you need to know in real time how full your separator is to avoid overflowing. We strongly recommend that you fit an alarm to indicate that maintenance is required.
