Creation of a fixed washing area for machinery and sprayers, with management of hydrocarbon and phytopharmaceutical effluents
Client: GAEC LES FAISSES – TERRE DE ROSÉ – 13790 PEYNIER
Date: 2022
Business: Winegrower-40 ha of vines-at the foot of the Montagne Ste Victoire – Member of the TRETS cooperative
Existing: The customer used to discharge its phytopharmaceutical effluents from washing its sprayers in the field. (He washed his sprayers as they left the vineyard, on the edge of the vineyard, which is still authorized).
Customer requirements: to stop polluting the soil with grease and phytopharmaceutical residues from its machinery and sprayers and to create a washing area to clean its equipment and sprayers so that washing and filling could be carried out in one place.
Solution: Oceania Environment® supplied the following for its concreted area:
- A simple filling jib (washing is carried out using a high-pressure cleaner) with a volumetric pump.
- A hydrocarbon separator to filter grease (to be emptied when too clogged, approximately every 3 to 5 years).
- Guillotine valves for flow management.
- 1 lifting manhole.
- 1 collector.
- 2 IBCs (International Bulk Containers) for phyto effluent.
- 1 connection kit for the 2 IBCs.
- 1 Phytogest® forced ventilation motor to be adapted to one of the IBCs to dehydrate the phyto-effluents Every 5/6 years, he has the IBCs taken over by ADIVALOR and obtains new IBCs (which he connects with the kit and on one of which he reinstalls the ventilation motor).
Why choose Oceania Environment®?
- Advice, expertise and ease of use.
- Reduced financial cost.
Client satisfaction:
- Environmentally-friendly: thanks to the hydrocarbon separator, machine wash water is no longer discharged into the natural environment.
- Efficiency of the process: rapid evaporation of phytopharmaceutical effluents (even if located in a very sunny and windy region).
- Secure filling with the volumetric pump: control of water consumption and the possibility of doing something else while filling.
- Operator safety combining cleanliness, comfort, and efficiency: no more filling hoses lying around, no more grease. Clean, uncluttered, and safe work area (reduced risk of operator slipping).
- Reduced maintenance costs: around €250 / IBC every 5 years + electricity: 220-volt power supply during the period of use.
“It’s very easy to install, easy to use and above all reliable.”
